"Into the Fields" is a collaboration with the Fair Food Standards Council whose mission is to monitor the development of a sustainable agricultural industry that advances the human rights of farmworkers by making sure the Fair Food Program is being implemented.

Founded by the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), the Fair Food Program ensures a penny-a-pound premium for tomatoes, which has resulted in nearly $20 million more in wages for tens of thousands of the mostly Hispanic poverty-line farmworkers. The CIW was formed in 1993 by empowered laborers as a response to decades of violence, sexual harassment, wage theft and involuntary servitude.
